Brown Wicker Bell and Tray

Take your outdoor entertaining to a beautiful new level with this handmade bell and tray made in France.  Keeping your food protected from all types of critters has never been more elegant!   

This is an authentic, traditional French basket, made entirely by hand in France.  Crafted with the finest of willow, its lightness and delicacy belie its strength; is is crafted to be functional as well as decorative. 

To create steamed willow rods, natural, brown dried willow is boiled for several hours. This releases the tannins and stains the willow bark a brown color. The bark remains on the willow. The rods are then dried outdoors.  Steamed willow rods require soaking and mellowing to make pliable.

With proper care, your wicker basket will have a very long life; dust and clean if necessary with soapy water and a soft brush, then rinse with clear water and air dry immediately.  Do not soak.
