Cornishware is an English pottery first produced by T.G.Green in 1924. The original design - the now iconic blue and white stripe - was reminiscent of the blue skies and white-crested waves of Cornwall and is how Cornishware got its name. This timeless design was produced for decades with much success and became highly collectable. Keeping up with modern, mass-produced pottery, however, proved challenging for the Victorian pottery workshop and they closed their doors in 2007.
A new beginning for this much-loved pottery occurred when a group of Cornishware enthusiasts decided to bring back the wonderful stripes, slowly starting up production in England once again. Hand-painted in Stoke-on-Trent, the stripes are now available in several classic colors, along with the original Cornish Blue.
