Olverum bath oil offers a luxurious way to unwind, soothing aching muscles, relieving stress, and promoting a restorative sleep that can help revive a tired immune system. It is a sumptuous indulgence that leaves your skin silken, your mind calm, and your body refreshed.
How to use: Run a warm bath to about 100˚F. Once at your preferred depth, add half a capful of the oil. Before you immerse yourself, stir the water with your hand to disperse the oil. As only a small amount of the concentrated formulation is needed, virtually all of the oil is absorbed by the skin, leaving no greasy residue in the bath after use.
- 4.25 fluid ounces; enough for 25 baths
Olverum, taking the name from the Latin oleum verum meaning 'true oil', is a pioneer in green beauty and natural wellbeing since 1931. Originally made in Germany, Olverum had a devoted following for years until the scarcity of quality oils due to the war halted production in 1943. Production began again in 1948 and survived by word of mouth, becoming a cult product known only to a small number of passionate fans. It wasn't until the current company owner, Michael Hawksley, discovered it in London's Mayfair hairdresser, Truefitt & Hill. Barbers by Royal Appointment, they carried a few bottles for use by the Royal Household. Intrigued, he tried it himself and was convinced it deserved to be brought to a wider audience. The Hawksley family travelled to Germany and secured the rights to Olverum and brought it to England, restarting production and adding additional products.
