Chipped Pears from Les Collines is made with local, organic ginger from Trusted Roots in Hancock MA, local Shenandoah and Blake's Pride pears from Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook, and whole organic lemons. They are slowly cooked into a marmalade/compote-like preserve with a scrumptious peppery kick. This one is simply good by the spoonful, straight from the jar, as well as stirred into stir fry or yogurt. You can glaze chicken or pork with it and spread on warm ginger or yellow cake.
