Elderberry ½ pint mug
Emma Bridgewater, the beloved and iconic British pottery brand, was established in 1984 in an old Victorian factory in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of British pottery. Each piece is made of cream-colored earthenware, dug out of the ground in Devon, Cornwall, Wales, or Staffordshire. Their unique, secret mix of clay is then cast in moulds for bowls, plates, jugs, teapots and, of course, their famous ½ pint mugs. After firing, the pottery is decorated and glazed by hand by one of 50 artists who have undergone years of training. By the time it has its final inspection, each piece of pottery has been touched by 30 pairs of hands.
