Blue Salvia Block Print Tablecloth

An airy floral block print pattern of soft blue and pale green on an off white ground.

In India, hand block printing fabric is a craft dating back to the Mughal Empire. The process begins by carving a design in a wood block. The block is then dipped in dye and pressed against the fabric. Once the design is complete, the fabrics are left in the sun to dry.  Each step is done by hand - no machines - and showcases both great skill and the touch of the human hand.
