In the 18th century, planters were thrown with the pot and saucer attached, as is done with this wonderful piece of contemporary redware pottery. The upper edge of both the pot and saucer are crimped and a rich brown, green and yellow glaze decorates the outside. A hole in the bottom allows for drainage.
Jeff White creates pottery using traditional 18th and 19th century American redware techniques. Beautiful wheel thrown forms are crimped, carved, painted, and glazed in classic redware style. Jeff has been transforming clay for over 40 years in Eastern Pennsylvania.
